A companion for your hex-tile settlement board

Scan your board.
Play it again.

Photograph your physical board once and PlayItAgain rebuilds it, every terrain tile, number, and port, right on your phone. Fix anything by hand, then track resources, development cards, and score for the whole table as you play.

Why I built this

Some games are worth finishing

Have you ever started a long game on a hex-tile settlement board and just couldn't finish it? I have, more than once. Packing up a half-finished board usually meant the game was simply over, so I built PlayItAgain to save it exactly where it stood. Scan the board, keep every player's cards, remember whose turn it was, and come back whenever you're ready to finish the game you actually wanted to finish.

Anthony, creator of PlayItAgain

How it works

Four steps from a physical board to a fully tracked game.

01

Setup that catches mistakes for you

Name the game, add players, and pick a color for each one. Forget to assign a color? PlayItAgain flags it before you save, instead of leaving you wondering later why the game won't start.

New Game screen with a name field, player count, and player color selection.
02

Photograph it once

Line your real board up inside the on-screen hexagon guide and take a photo. On-device machine learning reads every tile's terrain and number, finds every port, and rebuilds the whole layout for you. No typing, no manual setup, and the photo never leaves your phone.

The same board fully digitized in the app, with terrain, numbers, and ports all filled in.
03

Fix anything by hand

Didn't get a clean scan, or want to build a board from scratch? Tap any hex, settlement, city, road, or port to edit it directly. A soft purple glow always shows exactly what you're changing, and nothing is finalized until you say so.

Add settlement panel with type and owner color options.
04

Keep score, track bonuses, and always know whose turn it is

Track resources, development cards, and score for every player right on your phone. Each hand stays private by default until you press and hold to reveal it. Largest Army and Longest Road each get a one-tap bonus card so there's never any doubt who currently holds them, and a seating diagram tracks turn order too, with a glowing banner spelling out exactly whose turn it is, so picking a paused game back up next week never starts with an argument about who was supposed to go next.

Any rotation, any layout

However your table happens to be turned, ports and terrain are recognized in their real positions.

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ

Keep every game you've played

Save as many games as you like and jump back into any of them from the home screen.

โ™ป๏ธ

Built to be picked up again

Every game you save stays put, so you can pick a table back up next week exactly how you left it.

Never lose track of turns

A tap-to-assign seating diagram doubles as a turn tracker, so resuming a paused game never starts with an argument.

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 6, 2026

PlayItAgain is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains, in plain language, what that means for your data.

The short version

PlayItAgain does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no account to create, no server the app talks to, and no analytics or advertising software of any kind built in. Everything the app knows about your games stays on your device.

What the app stores, and where

Board layouts, player names and colors, scores, and resource/ development-card counts are saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. None of it is uploaded anywhere. If you delete the app, that data is gone with it.

The camera

PlayItAgain uses your camera only to photograph your physical board so it can be digitized. That photo is processed entirely on your device using on-device machine learning models. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared, and the app has no way to send it anywhere even if it wanted to, since it makes no network requests at all.

Tracking

PlayItAgain does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and doesn't use any third-party SDKs that do either.

Children's privacy

PlayItAgain does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age, for the simple reason that it doesn't collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If anything about how PlayItAgain handles data ever changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.
